June 2014

Welcome to the

new gardeners

It was a lovely sunny day

It was time to plant our sunflowers

We dug a hole

Planted our sunflowers

Labelled them with our names

Then watered them

Who's sunflower will grow

 to be the tallest?

growing in the garden

These will be picked for our Harvest Festival

We picked runner beans

We got pulling up carrots

We were surprised when we saw
what was growing under the ground

We took our carrots indoors and got washing

Then the best bit, the tasting

We all agreed that Robin Hood carrots are the best!

Thursday 16 May 2013

I would like to welcome our new gardeners to Gardening Club.

This term we have been busy on the plot.

We began our sunflower race.

We planted our sunflowers just three weeks ago.

Look how tall they are already!

We got out in the garden and got planting.

Which sunflower will be the tallest?

We also planted our potatoes, carrots,
lettuce, rocket and radish.

We planted our beans
 out on the plot.

Our gardeners asked
 Are they magic beans?
